To provide a machining technology of a shaft-shaped component, the technology which can obtain high machining accuracy by exactly positioning a pin which is machined next, can simplify equipment by simplifying motion and control necessary for the positioning, and thereby can reduce the cost of the equipment.
This machining device (10) comprises a pressing member (14) which reciprocates in a direction perpendicular to a rotational axial line (X1) of a rotating drive unit (11), and can rotate, with respect to the rotating drive unit (11), a chuck (12) which is brought into a state that a main shaft (2) is chucked by pressing an eccentric shaft (3b) in a position displaced from the upper part of the rotational axial line (X1) of the rotating drive unit (11). At the pressing member (14), there is formed an inclined pressing surface (18) which is inclined to the reciprocation direction of the pressing member (14) and can press the eccentric shaft (3b), and also there is formed a holding surface (19) which can hold the eccentric shaft (3) on the rotational axial line X1 of the rotating drive unit (11) between the inclined pressing surface (18) and itself.
