Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machining method by which production efficiency can be improved and superfinishing can be executed by securing dimensional accuracy of a transfer face of an inner ring or an outer ring.
SOLUTION: The inner ring Wa is supplied to a primary machining station 3 in turn and rotated while the inner ring Wa is being supported. After a reference face of the primary machining station is pressed to that of the inner ring and rough machining is executed to the transfer face, the roughly machined inner ring is pushed out from the primary machining station by an inner ring succeedingly supplied to the primary machining station. While, the inner ring pushed out from the primary machining station is conveyed without changing the direction of its reference face, it is supplied to a secondary machining station 4 and rotated while the roughly machined inner ring is being supported. After the reference face of the inner ring is pressed to a reference face of the secondary machining station and finishing is executed to the transfer face, the finished inner ring is pushed out from the secondary machining station by the inner ring succeedingly supplied to the secondary machining station.
