Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machining method capable of preventing occurrence of chips due to cutting, being appropriate as a machining method, and having no risk that a flange interferes with a circular cutter in machining, which secures a sufficient groove length.SOLUTION: In a machining method for a rapture disk with a groove, a circular cutter 1 and a receiving roller 3 are used, the circular cutter configured to form a groove, as a weak line, on a convex surface of a swollen dome part of a rapture disk 10 while rotating, the receiving roller configured to hold the rapture disk on an opposite side to the circular cutter and rotating in association with the rotation of the circular cutter. The circular cutter is a fan-shaped cutter whose machining end part projects outward in a fan-shaped manner. With the fan-shaped cutter, a groove, as a weak part, is machined on the convex surface of the swollen dome part of the rapture disk from one end to the other end of the swollen dome part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
