To provide a machining route preparation device for a wire electric discharge machine for preparing a machining route capable of enhancing machining accuracy at a recession angle corner part.
The machining route preparation device for the wire electric discharge machine has a machining program analysis means 2 for analyzing the machining program; an offset amount memory means 4; a reference machining number setting means 7 for setting the machining number becoming reference for determining a size of a movement block of a circular shape inserted to the recession angle corner part and the machining number for starting insertion of the movement block of circular shape as the reference machining number; an offset amount difference operation means 6 for calculating difference of the offset amount corresponding to the reference machining number and an offset corresponding to the machining number after the reference machining number; and a machining route preparation means 3 for receiving the offset amount stored in the offset amount memory means 4 and the analysis result of the machining program analysis means 2 and inserting the movement block of circular shape determined from the operation result of the offset amount difference operation means 6 to the recession angle corner part to prepare the machining route.
