Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL: A compound of the formula [wherein R is H or CH3; R1 is H, OH, COCOH(CH3)2, OCOCH(CH3)CH2CH3; R2 is H or OH; and R3 is H or OCOCH(CH3)2].
USE: A treating or a preventive agent against the infection of humans or animals with parasites, including an insecticidal, acaricidal, anthelminthic or exoparasite- exterminating composition.
PREPARATION: Streptomyces. hygroscopicus SP ATCC53718 or mutant, genetically transformed species or recombinant thereof having the ability of produce at least one N787-182 antibiotic are cultured in a deep culture aqueous medium containing utilizable carbon and nitrogen sources and inorganic salts or in a solid agar medium under deep aerobic fermentation conditions.
