Abstract:

To provide a new macromolecular composition practicable in view of cost, processability, etc., and having antithromboticity including stable thrombolytic performance, and to obtain an antithrombotic macromolecular material for medical use comprising the composition.

The new antithrombotic medical material having triple performance, i.e. plasma protein adsorption inhibition, blood coagulation inhibition and thrombolytic tendency is obtained by immobilizing a medical material with the new macromolecular composition part of which consists of an amino acid L-lysine with one side of amino groups and a carboxy group which are free. Blood-contacting materials including catheters, artificial blood vessels and injectors produced using this antithrombotic medical material are also provided, effectively inhibiting blood coagulation.
