Abstract:
(a) Copper (Cu) complex azo dyes (IA) of 2-(2-hydroxy-1-phenylazo)-1-naphthol-3,8-disulfonic acids, (b) Cu complex azo dyes (IB) of 2-(2-hydroxy-1-phenylazo)-1-naphthol-3,6,8-trisulfonic acids and their salts (IC) with amines with a total of 11-14 carbon atoms are new. (a) Copper (Cu) complex azo dyes (IA) of formula (I); x = 0 of 2-(2-hydroxy-1-phenylazo)-1-naphthol-3,8-disulfonic acids and (b) Cu complex azo dyes (IB) of formula (I; x = 1 ) of 2-(2-hydroxy-1-phenylazo)-1-naphthol-3,6,8-trisulfonic acids and their salts (IC) of formula (I; x = 0 or 1 ) with amines of formula (II) with a total of 11-14 carbon (C) atoms are new;in (IA), X = hydroxy (OH), 1-4 carbon (C) (hydroxy)alkyl, vinyl, -CH2-CH2-Z or Z in (IA) and (IC) hydroxy (OH), 1-4 carbon (C) (hydroxy)alkyl, -CH2-CH2-Z or Z in (IB); Z = (substituted) 1-24 C alkoxy (optionally with oxygen (O) in the chain, a (substituted) phenoxy, 1-4 C alkylthio or phenylthio group, amino or N-mono- or N,N-di-(1-24 C alkyl)-amino, in which the alkyl group(s) may be substituted and/or have oxygen (-O-) or an imino group (-NR1-) in the chain; R1 = hydrogen (H), (substituted) 1-4 C alkyl, 10-20 C terpene-amino, (substituted) 5-7 C cycloalkylamino, (ring-substituted) phenyl, naphthyl, N-(1-4 C alkyl)-N-phenyl- or N-(1-4 C alkyl)-N-naphthylamino, morpholino, optionally N-substituted piperazin-1-yl or piperidiny-1-yl; R = 1-4 C alkyl, 1-4 C alkoxy or halogen; m, n = 0, 1 or 2; Ra, Rb, Rc = groups with a total of 11-14 C atoms with the exception of compounds (IA and IC; X = Z; Z = a group eliminated by alkali Independent claims are also included for (a) dye mixtures containing a dye of formula (I; x = 0 or 1 and dye(s) selected from specified xanthene and azo dyes; (b) inks containing a dye of formula (I), except (I; X = Z; Z = a group eliminated by alkali and an organic solvent; (c) the preparation of dyes (IA) and (IB);
