To provide magenta toner for electrophotography, a developer and an image forming device which have superior fluidity and uniform dispersiveness of a colorant, causes neither ground staining nor toner scattering, reduces filming, spending to a carrier, etc., are free of an image defect and superior in transparency, coloring degree, and color reproducibility, and can obtain stable image quality for a long period.
The magenta toner is characterized by that at least binding resin is polyester resin and/or polyol resin, a magenta coloring agent is a soluble azo pigment represented by C.I.Pigment Red57:1, and additives are at least silica and/or titanium; and 0.01≤Dc/D4≤0.2 holds for the weight mean size (D4) of the toner and the mean dispersion size (Dc) of the magenta coloring agent in the toner, CV of Dc {(standard deviation of Dc/Dc)×100} is ≤30%, and the separation rate of the additives of the toner is 0.3 to 4%.
