Abstract:
To provide magenta toner, yellow toner, and the like capable of improving durability and chargeability by covering a surface of a core particle with a granular shell layer.
Magenta or yellow toner comprises: a core particle obtained by dispersing an oil phase into an aqueous medium, the oil phase obtained by dissolving or dispersing a binder resin, magenta pigment or yellow pigment, and a release agent into an organic solvent; and a shell layer on the surface of the core particle. The shell layer comprises a vinyl-based resin fine particle containing 5 mass% or more and 30 mass% or less of an ester-based vinyl polymerizable compound having -R-OH group (where, R represents an alkyl group).
