Abstract:
To provide a magnesia-spinel refractory that can suppress hydration reaction, and can reduce tissue embrittlement to improve wear resistance.SOLUTION: A magnesia-spinel refractory contains electromelted magnesia-spinel raw material 10-50 mass% having such a tissue that at least some of periclase grain surfaces in electromelted magnesia-spinel raw material containing MgO 40-60 mass% are coated with spinel, and magnesia raw material 50-90 mass%.SELECTED DRAWING: None
