Abstract:
To provide a magnesium alloy having excellent corrosion resistance.
The magnesium alloy casting having excellent corrosion resistance comprises, by mass, 0.5 to 5.0% Ca, and in which the content of carbon is regulated to <500 mass ppm. Further, in the magnesium alloy casting having excellent corrosion resistance, the ratio per unit area of a region at which carbon is detected when its surface is subjected to EPMA (Electron Prove Micro Analyzer) plane analysis is <5%.
