Abstract:
To provide a plastically worked member of a magnesium alloy capable of achieving good balance of strength and ductility while achieving flame retardancy.SOLUTION: The plastically worked member of a magnesium alloy is provided that contains a mother phase containing magnesium (Mg) as a main component and a crystallized substance, the plastically worked member of a magnesium alloy contains aluminum (Al) of 2 to 6 mass% based on the whole, zinc (Zn) of 0 to 3 mass%, calcium (Ca) of 0.5 to 3 mass%, manganese (Mn) of 0 to 0.6 mass%, and the balance magnesium (Mg) with inevitable impurities, wherein the crystallized substance includes a part of the Al and the Ca, and includes an intermetallic compound containing the Al and the Ca, and has an average particle diameter of 0.2 μm to 1000 μm, and an average value of Vickers hardness of 350 or more, and the mother phase includes a part of the Al and the Ca and includes a deposit which is the intermetallic compound containing the Al and the Ca and has an average particle diameter of 1 nm to 100 nm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
