Abstract:
To provide a magnesium alloy sheet excellent in press workability.SOLUTION: A magnesium alloy sheet has a composition comprising a magnesium alloy containing 7 mass% or more and less than 10 mass% of aluminum and 0.01 mass% or more and 0.5 mass% or less of strontium, the balance being magnesium and unavoidable impurities, and a texture comprising an oxide of magnesium and an intermetallic compound containing aluminum and strontium, wherein the average number of the magnesium oxides having a maximum diameter of 20 μm or more of the magnesium oxide is less than 5.0 per 1 cm2, and the average number of the intermetallic compounds having an average particle size of 2 μm or more and less than 5 μm is less than 5.0 per 400 μm2, and the average number of the intermetallic compound having an average particle size of 5 μm or more of the intermetallic compound is less than 1.0 per 400 μm2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
