Abstract:
To provide a magnesium alloy sheet excellent in the balance of strength and ductility.SOLUTION: A magnesium alloy sheet is made of a magnesium alloy. The magnesium alloy contains zinc of between 0.5 mass% and 2.0 mass% inclusive and calcium of between 0.05 mass% and 0.3 mass% inclusive, and the balance of magnesium and inevitable impurities. The crystal orientation of the bottom face in the rolling direction has an average strength of 2.50 or more and 4.00 or less in the pole figure of the bottom face of the crystal of the magnesium alloy. The average strength in the rolling direction is an average value of the average strength of the crystal orientation of the bottom face in a first region and the average strength of the crystal orientation of the bottom face in a second region. The first region is a region enclosed by the range of an angle of 0° ±30° in the circumferential direction and the range of an angle from 5° to 25° in the radial direction, whereas the second region is a region enclosed by the range of an angle of 180° ±30° in the circumferential direction and the range of an angle from 5° to 25° in the radial direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
