Abstract:
To provide a magnesium alloy that achieves both of lightness in weight and thermal conductivity, and has suitable flame retardancy, workability or the like, and a cast structural member including the magnesium alloy.SOLUTION: A magnesium alloy contains calcium of 0.25 mass%-1.0 mass% relative to the total amount, aluminum of 2.5 mass%-3.5 mass% relative to the total amount, additional elements of 1.0 mass%-1.75 mass% relative to the total amount, manganese, and the balance being magnesium and inevitable mixtures, the additional elements including lanthanum and cerium.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
