Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Mg-based alloy malleable material having excellent room temperature processability by conducting hot and warm working with controlled temperature and area reduction ratio on a Mg-based alloy raw material to which only Mn, relatively cheap element, is added.SOLUTION: There is provided a Mg-based alloy malleable material containing 0.07 mass% to 2 mass% of Mn and the balance Mg with inevitable impurities, excellent in durability and having an average crystal particle diameter of a base material of 10 μm or less, a relationship between maximum load stress (σmax) and stress at fracture (σbk), (σmax-σbk)/σmax of 0.3 or more in a stress-strain curve figure and strain rate sensitivity index (m value) of 0.1 or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
