Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnesium composite material that has excellent running property and is suitable for thin wall molding for electronic device casing, etc. and to provide a manufacturing method therefor.SOLUTION: The magnesium composite material includes a matrix metal made of a magnesium alloy and a silica balloon included in the matrix metal. The silica balloon has an average particle diameter of 10-100 μm and is included in concentration range of 5-20 vol.%. The magnesium alloy contains 4-8 wt.% aluminum, 1-6 wt.% zinc and 1-2 wt.% calcium as a concentration range.
