Abstract:

To provide an economical magnesium concentration adjusting agent which has high removing effect for Mg included in aluminum alloy molten metal, and to provide a method for efficiently recycling aluminum using the magnesium concentration adjusting agent.

The magnesium concentration adjusting agent for aluminum alloy molten metal is added in an amount of 0.5 to 20 pts.mass to 100 pts.mass of aluminum alloy molten metal. The magnesium concentration adjusting agent for aluminum alloy molten metal is composed of powder obtained by adding 1 to 30 pts.mass of mixed salt powder including sodium chloride powder and potassium chloride powder to 100 pts.mass of battery slag being powder obtained by calcining a used dry battery and thereafter pulverizing the same.
