Abstract:
To provide a magnesium-lithium-aluminum-zinc alloy that is suitable for processing using air melting, and to provide use thereof.SOLUTION: A magnesium-lithium-aluminum-zinc alloy has a melting temperature and a flashover temperature above said melting temperature, and comprises, expressing the composition in weight percentage, 5 to 15wt% Li, 1.5 to 9.0wt% Al, 0.5 to 1.5wt% Zn, 0.4 to 1.3wt% Y, 0.18 to 1.01wt% Nd, 0.09 to 0.65wt% Ce, and a balance amount of Mg and incidental impurities, and has a flashover temperature between 620°C to 700°C.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
