PURPOSE: To automatically, simply, easily and accurately supply magnesium molten metal by rotatably driving the output shaft of a piston rod advancing/ retreating means by a servo motor and transmitting a power command to the servo motor by a controller.
CONSTITUTION: Molten magnesium housed in a melting furnace is supplied via a molten metal supply pipe communicated with the outside by an ejection piston 6. The controller 50 of an automatic molten metal supply device 100 is connected to a servo system 30S, and it is connected to a check valve 19 or solenoid valves 60A, 60B which change the operating direction of a suction valve 7. The servo system 30S is constituted of the servo motor 30 and an inverter 30A, etc. The servo system 30S and the piston rod advancing/retracting means 40 are provided as the axial direction advancing/retracting means of the ejection piston 6. The controller transmits the power command to the servo motor 30, In this way, it is possible to attain the resource saving of molten magnesium and the reduction of a running cost.
