Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a conventional battery using magnesium metal in the negative electrode that a magnesium ribbon is corroded like wormholes after completion of discharge, and gray precipitate on the bottom of a container is left, as it is, even after charge and never returns back to single magnesium completely, and to provide a storage battery that is easy-to-handle as a secondary battery, by using a large capacity magnesium metal.SOLUTION: A battery is constituted of a carbon fiber rod 1, a magnesium ribbon 2, a mixture solution of sodium hypochlorite and sodium hydroxide as electrolyte 3, a lid 4 made of polystyrene foam, and a glass container 5.
