Title:
MAGNET ASSEMBLY OF LINEAR MOTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH09172764
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the structure of fastening magnets and facilitate the fabrication of a magnet assembly by bonding a plurality of the magnets to the circumference of one hollow cylindrical magnet shell. SOLUTION: A second silicon steel plate layer 18 of a hollow cylindrical shape having a coil 19 is supported around the circumference of a first silicon steel plate layer 17 of a hollow cylindrical shape with a specified gap in-between. A hollow cylindrical magnet shell 11 made of non-magnetic material is formed between the first and second silicon steel plate layers 17, 18. The circumference of the shell 11 is uniformly cut to form grooves facing downward. A plurality of magnets 12 are bonded to the grooves using adhesive to form a magnet assembly 10. Since no bolt or nut is used, as mentioned above, the fabrication of the assembly is facilitated. In this method a plurality of magnets are bonded to or engaged with a single hollow cylindrical magnet shell. This enhances the strength of the obtained magnet assembly and the reliability of products.
