To achieve stable running on a running surface, having difference in level by providing unevenness which has a shape corresponding to that of the unevenness of the running surface to the tread surface of a magnet crawler.
A magnet crawler running apparatus is equipped with a crawler chain 55 to which a plurality of magnet units 50 attracting a columnar running surface 2, a plurality of guide rails 51A, 51B, 51C holding the crawler chain 55 in a movable manner, a support device for supporting the guide rails 51A 51C on a stand 59, capable of being loaded with an ultrasonic scanner and the sprockets 56 for driving the crawler chain 55 and constituted so as to attract the columnar running surface 2 to run. In this case, the magnet units 50 have tread surfaces having the shape corresponding to the unevenness of the columnar running surface.
