Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a method for producing an aromatic acylated compound by producing an acyl fluoride from an olefin and CO in the presence of HF and BF3 and reacting the produced acyl fluoride with an aromatic compound while preventing the release of the BF3 in the atmosphere and improving the yield of the aromatic acylated compound by bringing the generated gas into contact with the acyl fluoride synthesis solution.
CONSTITUTION: An olefin is reacted with CO in the presence of HF and BF3 under a pressure of 20-80kg/cm2 to produce an acyl fluoride. The acyl fluoride synthesis solution is reacted with an aromatic compound in the presence of HF and BF3 under a pressure of ≤10kg/cm2 to produce the aromatic acylated compound. The gas generated in the acylation reaction is brought into contact with the acyl fluoride-synthesis solution to make the BF3 absorbed in the acyl fluoride-synthesis solution for the prevention of the release of the BF3 in the atmosphere. The yield of the aromatic acylated compound is further improved. A 2-alkyl-6-acylnaphthalene as one of the aromatic acylated compounds is used as a raw material for 2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylic acid. Polyesters obtained from the 2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylic acid can be formed into films and various moldings having excellent performances.
