Abstract:
To provide a magnetic base containing metal magnetic particles of high Fe content, of which the surface has a high insulating property, and a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A magnetic base 10 comprises a main body including an Si-containing oxide phase and metal magnetic particles bonded through the oxide phase, and an oxide film provided on a surface of the main body in a coil component 1. The metal magnetic particles contain Fe of 98.5 wt.% or more. The ratio Ia/Ib of an integrated intensity Ia of a peak originating from (220) plane of Fe2O3 to an integrated intensity Ib of a peak originating from (104) plane of Fe3O4 in XRD diffraction pattern for the magnetic base is 10 or larger.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
