Abstract:
To provide a magnetic bearing device which can suppress heat generation while securing support rigidity in a low-load region.SOLUTION: A magnetic bearing device 130 supports a rotating shaft 124 in a non-contact manner. The magnetic bearing device 130 comprises electromagnets 161, 162 which are oppositely arranged, and a control device 500. The control device 500 supports the rotating shaft 124 in a target position by adjusting currents supplied to the electromagnets 161, 162. The control device 500 performs first control for bringing synthetic electromagnetic forces of the electromagnets 161, 162 into linear shapes, and supplying the currents in which the generated electromagnetic forces are set in reverse directions to the electromagnets 161, 162 when a control command based on a displacement amount of the rotating shaft 124 from the target position is within a prescribed range. The control device 500 performs second control for supplying a current proportional to a square root of the control command to one electromagnet out of the electromagnets 161, 162, and stopping the supply of the current to the other electromagnet when the control command is out of the prescribed range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
