Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a magnetic bearing device of a simple structure at a low price by fixing a permanent magnet on a non-magnetic receptacle, and providing the non-magnetic receptacle with another permanent magnet for repelling and attracting each other through a magnetic fluid. CONSTITUTION:The first permanent magnet 2 is fixed to the base of a non- magnetic bottomed of cylindrical receptacle 1, and the second permament magnet 3, which is of the same size and has an outside diameter a little smaller than the inside diameter of the receptacle 1, is magnetized in such a manner as to repel the magnet 2, and disposed above the magnet 2. Thus, a circular void is formed between the magnet 3 and the receptacle 1, and magnetic fluids 4a, 4b are disposed in the void. A rotary shaft 5 is concentrically connected to the second permanent magnet 3, and the rotary shaft 5 is stably supported by both magnets 2, 3 with the void C retained therebetween. In this case, the center of the receptacle 1 and the center of the magnet 3 are aligned with each other by the magnetic fluids 4a, 4b so as to accomplish self-alignment.
