PURPOSE: To ensure the stable operation of a magnetic bubble memory device by setting an intra-face holding magnetic field of a magnetic bubble in the direction equal to the center axis of either one of X and Y coils which are orthogonal to each other and at the same time giving a difference between the vertical and horizontal directions of a magnetic bubble chip by a certain angle to the direction of the center axis.
CONSTITUTION: The direction Hin of an intra-face holding magnetic field is set equal to the direction of the center axis of an X coil 2. The vertical or horizontal direction of a magnetic bubble chip 4 is turned by a certain angle in different directions. This angle of rotation is set so as to obtain the intra-face holding magnetic field of a magnetic bubble chip set in the optimum direction to the chip direction. When a rotary magnetic field produced by a triangular wave current is applied to the magnetic bubble memory device, a rotary magnetic field locus is obtained as shown in a figure. Therefore no revolution is given to the magnetic field in a start-stop mode since the coincidence is obtained between the start-stop mode of the rotary magnetic field and the direction of the intra-face holding magnetic field. Furthermore the stable actuation is obtained for the magnetic bubble since the direction of the intra-face holding magnetic field is set optimum to the direction of the chip 4.
