PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic card, a magnetic card authenticity judging device and its method where an alteration of magnetic data and forgery of the magnetic card are difficult and an alteration of magnetic card data and forgery of the magnetic card are easily judged.
SOLUTION: Superimposed waveform data obtained by highly hold-recording intrinsic information on a magnetic printing track 3 on an upper recording rewriting information (money information) on a first magnetic recording truck 2 and superimposing two pieces of the information one on another are read to obtain characteristic extracting information to record this on a second magnetic recording track 4. Sampling and coding are used for the characteristic extracting information. In judging the authenticity of a magnetic card, the superimposed waveform data are read to obtain the characteristic extracting information and this is compared with characteristic extracting information read from the second magnetic recording truck.
