Abstract:

PURPOSE: To let an output rotating element by positively braked in rotation at the time of releasing the connection of a clutch main body by letting the output rotating element be checked in rotation in the both directions of normal and reverse rotation through braking means for braking in both normal rotation and reverse rotation.

CONSTITUTION: When No.1 electromagnetic clutch device 2 is turned on, No.2 electromagnetic clutch device 4 is turned off, No.1 braking means 8 is turned off, and No.2 braking means 12 is turned on with an electric motor 154 rotated, an axial member 28 is rotated normally. And when the above-side actuation is conditioned to a reverse state, the axial member is rotated reversely. In this case, the actuation of the braking means 8 and 12 allows the axial member (output rotating element) 28 to be braked in rotation at the time of releasing the connection of No.1 and No.2 electromagnetic device 2 and 4. By this constitution, drive torque is positively transferred when the clutch main body is drivingly connected. On the other hand, the output rotating element can positively be braked in rotation at the time of releasing the connection.
