Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously transmit power without contacting even if the mutual distance between a rotated body and a rotating body along an axis increases.SOLUTION: The magnetic coupling has a magnet unit 40 for repulsion and a magnet unit 30 for attraction arranged between an output shaft 1 arranged having its axis along a perpendicular direction and a driven shaft 2 arranged on an extension of the output shaft 1, holds the driven shaft 2 in a floated state over the output shaft 1 with repulsion force of the magnet unit 40 for repulsion, and also transmits rotating force to between the output shaft 1 and driven shaft 2 without contacting with attraction force of the magnet unit 30 for attraction. Magnetic forces are set respectively so that the repulsion force becomes larger than the attraction force when the mutual distance D between the output shaft 1 and driven shaft 2 along the shaft is smaller than a preset threshold value, and the attraction force becomes larger than the repulsion force when the mutual distance D increases exceeding the threshold.
