PURPOSE: To provide a magnetic detecting device suppressing the sensitivity reduction of magnetic resistive elements to the utmost and generating no wave- form split of the output wave-form.
CONSTITUTION: A bias magnet 3 generating the bias magnetic field is prepared to face a gear 5, and a through hole 4 is formed on the bias magnet 3 into a hollow shape. Magnetic resistive elements 7, 8 are arranged at the angle of about 45° with the bias magnetic field. A mold material 2 is arranged to penetrate the through hole 4 of the bias magnet 3, and the magnetic resistive elements 7, 8 are arranged at the approximate position to the surface of the bias magnet 3 between the surface of the bias magnet 3 and the gear 5. The state change of the bias magnetic field is detected by the resistance value changes of the magnetic resistive elements 7, 8.
