Abstract:
The present invention provides a magnetism-detecting device that can reduce the occurrence of output inversion, and a coin identification device that can improve coin identification accuracy. The present invention is a magnetism-detecting device comprising: a first detection coil provided on one surface side of a transport path along which coins are transported; a second detection coil provided on the one surface side of the transport path; an excitation coil that is provided on the one surface side of the transport path, and that generates a magnetic field in the transport path; and a differential output section that outputs differential output of the output of the first detection coil and the output of the second detection coil. The excitation coil is configured so that the magnetic flux density in the first detection coil is greater than the magnetic flux density in the second detection coil.
