Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a simple constitution capable of rewriting data only, by recording a tracking signal at both sides of a track and using a head for servo having a gap larger than a track pitch in width. CONSTITUTION:A recording track 5 on a recording medium (flexible disc) consists of a data track 6 which is located at a center and on which data are recorded, and a servo track 7 on which a tracking signal for servo is recorded. A magnetic head 8 is made in one body with a data head 9 and a servo head 10. A servo gap has a wider gap width than the track pitch and even if the magnetic head 8 is located at the center of track, a part of the servo track 7 of an adjacent track is faced to the servo gap. The position of the magnetic head 8 is corrected with a voice coil actuator so as to make the reproduced amplitude of two signals equal.
