Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the situation of access infeasibility of a magnetic disk device and to enhance the reliability of the magnetic disk device and also to reduce the cost for the backup of data. CONSTITUTION:The system is equipped with a vibration detecting means 1-3 for detecting an external vibration on the magnetic disk device, a retraction informing means 1-4 for informing a pause in access to a data by a head when a vibration is detected by the above vibration detecting means and a retracting means 1-5 for retracting the head upon receipt of head retracting information by the above retraction informing means.
