Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a fixing means for fixing a magnetic head in a prescribed position without increasing outside dimensions of an HDD when the magnetic disk is stopped in rotation.
CONSTITUTION: In the magnetic disk device having a guide 19 for shaping a lead wire 15 fixed to a head arm assembly 14 to regulate movability of a flexible substrate 16 or to be connected with the flexible substrate 16, this guide 19 consists of a magnetic substance or a magnet. And, when the magnetic disk 1 is stopped in rotation, the magnetic head is held on the inner circumferential side of the magnetic disk 1 by attraction of a magnet 12 of a driving part 26 and the guide.
