Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic disk capable of completing the retreating of a magnetic head even under a situation in which induced power is gradually reduced by miniaturization.
SOLUTION: Upon determination that a power supply voltage is equal to/lower than a predetermined value (3), the magnetic disk device drives switching elements (15 to 20) to supply the induced power of a motor (1) to an actuator (26). The output voltage of a booster circuit is used for the driving of the switching elements (15 to 20). However, since the booster circuit is operated irrespective of the determination result of a determination circuit 3, the switching elements (15 to 20) are quickly driven.
