Abstract:
PURPOSE:To preserve error information and to analyze the occurrence of inconvenience by storing the error information once in a RAM, and writing it on a magnetic disk at a prescribed time. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 1 controls every part of a magnetic disk device. The error information generated in the magnetic disk device is stored in the RAM 2. Also, a power source is supplied from a battery 3 to the RAM 2, which enables a memory content to be preserved even when an external power source is disconnected. A drive device 4 is a driving device consisting of the driving device of the magnetic disk and a magnetic head etc. Thereby, since the error information is stored once in the RAM 2, the error information stored in the RAM 2 can be written on the magnetic disk at the prescribed time even when the magnetic disk is unloadable.
