Abstract:
PURPOSE:To quickly cope with a trouble by writing servo information having information on the positioning of a magnetic head and the reference positional information on the position of the magnetic head and providing a positioning reference position line. CONSTITUTION:When the servo head 11 of a magnetic disk device comes to the reference position line 1, the servo information read out of a servo head 11 is amplified by a preamplifier circuit 6, becomes a dipulse signal A, and is outputted to a sync pit generation circuit 7 and a demodulation circuit 8. The circuit 7 detects the sync position of the dipulse signal A, generates a sync pit signal E and outputs it to a discrimination circuit 9. The circuit 9 detects that the magnetic head attains the reference position line, and performs he positioning of the magnetic head which writes and reads data as soon as the servo head 11 is stopped at the reference position line.
