Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable adopt of a sector servo type positioning operation control system for the magnetic disk device with a zone bit recording type positioning operation control system by shortening the seeking time of a magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:The space between the most inner peripheral cylinder and most outer peripheral cylinder of the magnetic disk is devided into over two areas, the number of sectors of each devided area is counted and the highest speed of a seeking operation is changed for each devided area.
