Abstract:

To provide a magnetic encoder of high reliability, and a rolling bearing unit with the magnetic encoder.

This magnetic encoder 2 for detecting the revolution number of a rotor is provided with magnets 38 formed annularly, and attracted multipolarly along a circumferential direction, and at least one cut-out part 39 extended along a direction crossed with the circumferential direction is formed in a pole face of the magnet 38.
