Title:
MAGNETIC FIELD CONDUCTIVE PIPE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01135006
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a magnetic field conductive pipe which is convenient and effective for transmission and control of magnetic field by transmitting magnetic field by use of a pipe-shaped superconductor as a conduit of magnetic field and by changing the diameter of the conduit in terms of space and time.

CONSTITUTION: Since a magnetic field conduit 1 is rendered in superconductive state, it shows a complete diamagnetism. A magnetic flux 3 generated from a permanent magnet 2 cannot enter the inside of a magnetic field conduit 1 and is introduced along the wall of the magnetic field conduit 1. Thus, if the sectional area of the magnetic field conduit 1 at the exit part is made smaller as compared with that where the permanent magnet 2 is located, the magnetic flux density increases at the exit part and the magnetic field is reinforced. On the other hand, if the sectional area of the magnetic field conduit 1 at the exit increases, the magnetic flux density is reduced at the exit part, thus reducing the magnetic field. Namely, by setting the length and diameter of the magnetic field conduit 1 to an arbitrary value, a magnetic field of any strength can be supplied to any location.
