To provide a method for generating a uniform magnetic field, or a gradient magnetic field, and further a uniform AC magnetic field, and further for electrically rotating them, and provide a device capable of employing a new magnetic-field imposing technique for measuring a magnetic resonance image by the use of superconducting wires.
A plurality of conductors parallel to each of axes orthogonal to each other are disposed in cylindrical shapes 21 and 22. By controlling electric currents passed through the conductors, a rotating magnetic field is generated in a space formed in an intersection of the orthogonal cylinders. The rotating magnetic field is combined with a cylindrical solenoid coil generating a static magnetic field, thereby generating a magnetic field rotating at the magic angle. This can prevent abrasion or accuracy deterioration caused by the rotation of a specimen at the magic angle as in the past. A rotating magnetic field or a rotating gradient magnetic field, having high uniformity and a large specimen space, is actualized by increasing the number of conductors.
