Title:
MAGNETIC FILTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04341312
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To remove simply and efficiently magnetic particles such as iron powder in a fluid by using a filter which comprises permanent-magnet fibers dispensing with an external magnetic field at least as a part of components.

CONSTITUTION: A filter of a knitted fabric, etc., is formed from permanent- magnet fibers dispensing with an external magnetic field at least as a part of components; for example, rigid magnetic fibers prepared by spinning a rigid magnetic material (e.g. an Fe-Cr-Co alloy) are magnetized by the heat treatment in a magnetic field to produce the permanent-magnet fibers. By using the filter thus obtained, magnetic particles such as iron powder in a fluid can be removed simply and efficiently.
