Abstract:
PURPOSE: To surely prevent the splash of a magnetic fluid from being scattered in a vacuum space.
CONSTITUTION: An O-ring 24 is provided between the inner periphery edge of one pole piece 9 and the outer periphery 5 of a shaft 2. A magnetic fluid 10 is held by the magnetic force of a permanent magnet 7 at the portion apart from the O-ring 24 between the inner periphery edge of the pole piece 9 and the outer periphery 5 of the shaft 2. No sealant is provided at all between the inner periphery edge of the other pole piece 8 and the outer periphery 5 of the shaft 2.
