Abstract:
PURPOSE:To increase the transmittance of light to allow the transmission of magnetic fluid by using a magnetic material having a low electrical conductivity as the colloidal particles to form the magnetic fluid. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic material having the low electrical conductivity as the colloidal particles to form the magnetic fluid is formed as an extremely thin film. Namely, the magnetic fluid thin film having a magneto-optical effect is formed by using the colloidal particles of nickel, ferrite, (NiO)(Fe2O3) having a uniform grain size as the magnetic material of a low electrical conductivity and using kerosene, toluene, etc., as a solvent to form the magnetic fluid and specifying the thickness of the magnetic fluid thin film to 1 mum to 1 mm. The transmittance of the light to allow the transmission in the magnetic fluid thin film is extremely increased in this way.
