To provide a rotating electrical machine adjusting a relative angular displacement of a rotor in a continuous manner regardless of a torque direction, while avoiding an attractive force between field magnets of a split rotor.
The rotating electrical machine has: a stator having a winding; a bisected rotor which is halved into the first rotor and the second rotor in the rotational axis direction and arranged rotatably to the stator through a gap, with field magnets of different polarity arranged alternately in the rotational direction; a mechanism for continuously varying a position in the rotational axis direction of the second rotor of the bisected rotor relative to the first rotor of the bisected rotor; and a nonmagnetic member arranged between the first rotor and the second rotor.
