Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make a magnetic head assembly thin without damaging the rigidity in the direction parallel with a disk plate by forming a bent flange part on the side edge part of a load beam holding a head slider. CONSTITUTION:Two magnetic head assemblies 9 are mounted back to back between two disk plates 57, and flange parts 32 of load beams 31 of magnetic head assemblies 9 are bent toward head sliders 10, namely, disk plates 57. Consequently, flange parts 32 and head sliders 10 partially overlap in the thickness direction. Thus, the magnetic head assembly is made thin without reducing the thickness of the flange part 32, and it is made thin without damaging the rigidity in the direction parallel with disk plates.
