Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a magnetic head base capable of preventing the spreading of an adhesive and capable of ensuring high precision in the height of a magnetic head chip to the magnetic head base.

CONSTITUTION: This magnetic head base 1 is used for fixing a magnetic head chip with a magnetic gap on a rotating drum and the magnetic head chip is fixed by adhesion at one end of this magnetic head base 1. This magnetic head base 1 has been stepped so that an adhesion region 10 in which the magnetic head chip is fixed by adhesion is made lower than the principal face 17 of this base 1.
