Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent dust from intruding into a gap between a slider and a medium when the dust approaches the magnetic head from the outside. CONSTITUTION:A dielectric 7 for attracting and catching dust is applied around a slider 2. Alternatively, the slider is entirely made of a dielectric material. According to the constitution, dust is attracted to the dielectric 7 and prevented from entering into a gap between the slider and the medium.
